Roberta Gottardi’s interests range from late Baroque repertoire on period instruments to present-day music, performed in ensembles and as a soloist. Reference performer for the musical theater piece HARLEKIN by K. Stockhausen, conceived for a single clarinetist-dancer-mime, and first prize in the competition promoted by the Stockhausen Foundation, she has collaborated with many other composers, such as Sciarrino, Fedele, Cifariello Ciardi. As a soloist and in various ensembles she has performed at some of the most important festivals in Europe, from the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino to the Münchener Biennale, from the South Bank Centre in London to the Bologna Festival and the Venice Biennale, from Gaudeamus Muziekweek in Amsterdam to the Warsaw Autumn, the MusikTriennale in Cologne and the Holland Festival. She teaches clarinet at the Conservatory of Bolzano.
